Hi — I'm [Your Name].
I mix records and teach people to do the same.
Nine years behind the desk. I've mixed and mastered independent releases across synthwave, hip-hop, alt-pop and film — and taught 14,000+ producers how to stop guessing and start hearing.
MusicMixGuru started because most music education teaches plugins, not decisions. I teach the decisions. Everything here — the courses, the batches, the mentorship — comes out of sessions I'm actually running for paying clients.
How I got behind the desk.
First paid mix
Mixed a friend's EP for ₹2,000 and a plate of biryani. It was over-compressed and the vocals were buried — but it shipped, and someone paid for it.
Full-time engineer
Quit the day job. Built a treated room, started taking mixing clients across hip-hop and indie, and learned that most of the job is saying no to bad references.
First sync placement
A student's track — one I'd mentored through mixing — landed in a short film. That's when the teaching started to feel more important than the mixing.
MusicMixGuru launched
Turned nine years of session notes into a curriculum. First cohort was 12 people. Now it's 14,000+ across 61 countries.
Studio + school
Still mixing for clients four days a week. Still teaching the other three. The two feed each other — everything I teach came from a real session.
Studio setup
Not a gear-flex list — this is what I actually reach for, and what I teach on.
